The Alexandria Restaurant Week event is a very popular option held every year. With the ability to try some of your favorite restaurants and a few new ones, you can enjoy plenty of fun throughout the week. Let’s look at the details of this annual event.
When, Where, & What?
Typically, the Alexandria Restaurant Week event is held in January. However, it may vary from one year to another. In 2022, it was held from January 21st to 30th. However, in 2021, the event was held in August.
The location includes more than 60 different restaurants every year. The event actually lasts 10 days and offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy great food and fun.
Alexandria Restaurant Week provides a prix fixe menu at all the participating restaurants. It’s typically a dine-in event, but some restaurants will offer some to-go options, too. During the 2022 event, the prix fixe menu was $35 for one or two people.

Restaurants participating are found all throughout Alexandria. The event will include restaurants in Old Town, West End, Del Rey, Carlyle, Alexandria, and Eisenhower Valley.
The Prix Fixe Menu
While the price is $35, it might be for one person or two people, depending on the restaurant. Most menus will include an appetizer and entree. Some will also include a dessert. The menus are published ahead of time, so you can choose which restaurants you want to enjoy throughout the event.
Some restaurants offer to-go options, as well. However, most are dine-in and may provide a wine pairing and other drinks at an additional cost.
Other Restaurant Week Events in the Area
The Alexandria Restaurant Week event is one of the biggest in the area, but it’s not the only one. There is also a Northern Virginia Restaurant Week. Currently, there aren’t many details about the next event of this type, but past events included plenty of restaurants throughout the NoVa area in Arlington, Reston, Loudon, and Prince William Counties.

The DC Restaurant Week is another event held in the area, of this type. It’s held throughout Fairfax County and offers many great restaurants to enjoy. This even was recently helped in March and offered brunch and lunch options for $25 and dinners for $40 to $55.
The Fairfax City Restaurant Week will be held in August. It will include pre-fixe dinners for $35, along with brunch/lunch deals for $20 or $10. There will be more than 20 restaurants participating in this restaurant week event in Northern Virginia.
Enjoying Your Favorite Restaurants
Any restaurant week event offers a great way to enjoy your favorite restaurants throughout the area. It’s also a great time to check out something new. The lower cost and the prix fixe menu give you the opportunity to try something new.
