Did you know that according to FairfaxCounty.gov, more than 188,000 students will return back to school on Tuesday September 6, 2016?  The Fairfax County School Bus fleet is larger than Greyhound and it transports the most students in the country, second only to New York City. WOW!  We have a lot of kids returning back to school and that means extra traffic and a little extra time to let our kiddo’s board their buses.  Please take extra caution when driving and obey the speed limits in our neighborhood.  Also, Virginia is very serious about not stopping for school buses with their red stop signals displayed.  A conviction of our Virginia school bus stop law is a class 1 misdemeanor.  It carries the actual possibility of going to jail, a six months suspension of your driving privilege in Virginia and a maximum fine of $2500.00.  Bottom line, rushing around a school bus is just not worth it.  Help Keep our Kids Safe and drive careful out there!!!
