A list of events and great ideas for the family this fall in the Burke – Springfield – Fairfax areas!
Have you been looking ahead to your family’s fall schedule? Here is a list of some great ideas (in addition to the pumpkin patches) that you might want to try with the family.
The Fairfax County Park Authority (Parktakes) has several activities listed in their Nature and Science section. There are multiple campfires, a tea party and wagon rides in November and December.

*Campfire Fridays at Hidden Pond Nature Center (Age 3+) 9/16, 9/30, 10/14 7:30 – 9:00 $8
*Campfire Saturdays Lake Accotink (3+) Saturday 9/24 and 10/15 and from 7:30-9:00 $8
*Meteor Shower Campfire at Burke Lake (Age 6+) 10/7 and 10/16 7:00 – 9:00, $10
*Halloween Campfire at Burke Lake (Age 3+) 10/29 and 10/30 7:00-9:00, $10
*Princess Tea Party at Hidden Oaks (Age 3+) 11/20 2:00-2:30, $15
*Holiday Horse Drawn Hayrides at Lake Accotink 12/10 times range from Noon – 2:40, $12
*Apple picking at Stribling Orchard in Markham, VA
*Oktoberfest at Fort Belvoir 10/1 and 10/2
In addition to the libations and food, they have amusement rides and German music.
