About Me: I graduated with a major in economics and a minor in finance from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. During this time, I studied abroad in countries such as China, Guatemala, Chile and the USA. This gave me tremendous insight to emerging economies and monetary policies throughout the world. During my tutelage, I received classes from two Nobel Prize winners in Economics: Robert Solow and Thomas Schelling. You can say I’m a “numbers guy.” After graduating, I worked as a stockbroker, which quickly helped me find my niche in mortgage banking. I was trained as a Loan Officer by Ed Dean, one of the nation’s top lenders (also featured in Forbes magazine), who is now president of our company.
