According to the Fairfax Country Public Schools website, of which Springfield Schools belongs, all Fairfax County high schools have been designated among the most demanding public schools in the country, yet FCPS students demonstrate achievement at the proficient or advanced level on state standardized tests. Pass rates exceeded the state percentages by three to seven points.
While scores and numbers don’t tell the whole story, they are among the hallmarks of a good school system. Other factors that are important to prospective home buyers are high test scores in other areas, accelerated programs, arts and music, diversity, and before- and after-school programs.
