The Lake Braddock Community Association was established in 1969. The community has been recognized by the Washington Post due to the unique type of homes and the Raintree Section. It’s known for the incredible Christmas decorations put up by homeowners every year and the 27-acre lake found at the center of the community.
The lake is actually a reservoir found on the Pohick Creek, which is a tributary of the Potomac River. Once the dam was put in place, the community was established to cover about 400 acres of space.

Along with these two main shopping centers, the Old Keenes Mill Shopping Center and University Mall are found not far away. Plenty of other independent shops are found just outside the community.
The best dining options close to Lake Braddock are found within the Burke Village Center. Lebanese Bistro and Spartan’s Family Restaurants are two of the most popular choices. Residents also enjoy plenty of dining in other communities surrounding Lake Braddock.
