Elizabeth Ann Kline is humbled to have been nominated for The Virginia REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award in 2020.
This award, bestowed at the annual governance meeting awards ceremony, recognizes REALTOR® members who make a positive impact on their community. It also contributes a donation to the organization through which they volunteer their time and talent.
For over 20 years, the association has celebrated the Good Neighbor program, maintaining a legacy of support, friendliness, and benevolence.
The Good Neighbor Award Ceremony
At the 2020 ceremony, five winners received a $500 one-time award to benefit the 501(c)(3) non-profit/charity for which they volunteer their time and talents. (These awards were announced in a virtual format as the COVID-19 pandemic prevented Virginia REALTORS® from holding an in-person convention.)
“Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, these REALTORS® have continued to help their neighbors in impactful and inspiring ways,” said NAR President Vince Malta. “I am so proud to honor this year’s Good Neighbor Award finalists for their outstanding volunteer work and for exemplifying everything we strive to be as REALTORS® and as engaged, compassionate members of a community.”
Among the deserving organizations who will enjoy this monetary gift include Generosity Feeds, the Massey Cancer Center, Mission M4, Fredericksburg Main Street, and the VA Cooperative Extension.
Elizabeth has dedicated her own efforts over the last five years to The Lamb Center, a daytime drop-in homeless shelter for individuals in Fairfax. She was inspired to see the winners from the event broadcast — many with fifteen to thirty years of volunteer service.
“It inspired me because that’s where I want to be down the road,” she committed.
“The events of this past year have only reinforced how important homes and communities are to the fabric of our society, and the Good Neighbor Awards finalists exemplify the commitment to others that we all need right now,” said REALTOR® CMO Mickey Neuberger. “In a time of social distance, the REALTORS® recognized by these awards have found ways to bring people together to achieve the greater good.”
Here at List With Elizabeth, we are most proud of Elizabeth for her nomination for this annual award which seeks to highlight, inspire, and perpetuate individual contributions toward improving the lives of citizens in Virginia.
