When you’re looking for a great community in Springfield to call home, Medford Leas might be just the place for you. This tree-lined community is a smaller one and was completed in the 1980s. Plenty of shopping and dining is found a short drive from Medford Leas. The Old Keene Mill Shopping Center is nearby, along with the Kingstowne Shopping Center. You can find many restaurants nearby both of these shopping centers, too.
Of course, Old Town Alexandria isn’t far away and offers plenty of unique shops. You can enjoy plenty of dining and shopping in other nearby communities, such as Burke, West Springfield, Newington, Franconia, and Annadale.
Location
Medford Leas is found off Fairfax County Parkway. It’s close to I-95 and I-395 to provide easy access to many other nearby areas. Residents will also have easy access to the Beltway, Interstate 66, and Route 29.
The Springfield Transportation Center offers access to VRE, Amtrak trains, Greyhound buses, and the Metro blue line. A Park & Ride stop is also found off Gambrill Road, which provides easy access for residents to a bus.
Of course, living in Medford Leas offers a close enough location to commute to Alexandria and even Washington D.C. There are plenty of nearby communities you can easily commute to, from this community, as well.
Living in Medford Leas
If you’re relocating to Northern Virginia or handling a PCS relocation, Medford Leas might be the right community for you. It’s a smaller, more private type of community. While it doesn’t have the same amenities as other neighborhoods in the area, the homes tend to be a bit larger, along with the lot sizes.
Living in Medford Leas will give you a prime location in Springfield. Students will attend Hunt Valley Elementary, Irving Middle, and West Springfield High Schools. It’s also a community close enough to top employers to provide an easy commute.
