NoVA is filled with very hot real estate markets. However, some neighborhoods are hotter than others. Many buyers are looking for a new home in NoVA. The competition is a bit crazy, but you can still find a home in one of the hot NoVA neighborhoods for 2022.
7 Up-And-Coming Hot NoVA Neighborhoods to Consider
1. Del Ray
While this NoVA neighborhood has always been hot, it’s one of the best options right now. With a commute to D.C. of less than 15 minutes, it’s a popular choice for buyers relocating to the D.C. area.
Del Ray offers a mixture of architectural styles, a very popular culture, and plenty of things to do nearby. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that it’s close to D.C. and offers walkable, cobblestone streets.
2. Orange Hunt Estates
For those in the military, Orange Hunt Estates offers one of the hottest NoVA neighborhoods. While you don’t have to be in the military to live here, it’s a very popular option for those in the military.
The streets are lined with trees, public transportation provides great access to amenities, and the lots are larger than many other neighborhoods.
Burke Lake Park is found nearby, along with Huntsman Lake, and the South Run Community Center. There are plenty of things to do and you can bike to several of the amenities.
3. National Landing
Of course, one of the hot up-and-coming NoVA neighborhoods right now is National Landing. This area is made up of Pentagon City, Crystal City, and portions of Alexandria. It’s a very fast-growing neighborhood with plenty to offer.
For those relocating to the area, the proximity to D.C. is excellent. It’s filled with new construction condos and offers easy transportation to nearby areas. As the new construction projects start inching towards completion, this neighborhood has a ton of potential.
4. Pimmit Hills
While it’s not as hot as some of the other neighborhoods on the list, Pimmit Hills is getting hotter by the day. It’s found close to excellent schools, good shopping options, and plenty of parks. Known as a central suburb, many homebuyers are starting to look in Pimmit Hills for a new place to live.
5. Penrose
Found only about three miles from D.C., this neighborhood is very close to the Fort Myer Army Base. It has a lot to offer with several types of homes.
Buyers will find townhomes, condos, apartments, duplexes, and plenty of single-family homes throughout Penrose. It’s a bit more affordable than some of the other options, too.
6. Winston Knolls
Another very popular neighborhood, this one is found in Springfield. Winston Knolls offers plenty of things to do nearby, along with a great location for those relocating to the area. It’s a short walk from the Orange Hunt Elementary School, as well.
With shopping found nearby at the Huntsman Square Shopping Center and plenty of major transportation options, this is a hot NoVA neighborhood. It’s a bit further outside of D.C., but for some buyers, that is a benefit.
7. Reston
Of course, Reston has become a hot NoVA neighborhood for 2022. It’s the tech hub with DocuSign, Salesforce, and Google all found nearby. While this is a competitive area, you can still find a home for sale here.
