The Autumn season always comes with fun activities and traditions that area families can enjoy. Whether it’s leaf peeping, apple picking, pumpkin carving, or playing at goblin golf, Fall is a time to enjoy crisp weather, quality time with loved ones, and fun!
One fun and unique thing that the Burke area has to inspire family fun during Halloween is Goblin Golf!
Goblin Golf is hosted at Burke Lake Park’s mini-golf course on weekends in October, so you only have a limited time left to enjoy the not-so-frightening fun. It’s worth running over to Burke Lake Park to enjoy some time outside and play some Halloween mini-golf holes!
Goblin Golf features Halloween decorations, autumn leaves, and a special treat on weekends through October from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ghosts and goblins also appear every weekend during these times to make the experience spectacularly spooky, but don’t worry, there’s nothing too frightening to spoil the fun for players of all ages.
Perfect for a date, an outing with friends, or an experience for the whole family, this mini-golf is a popular attraction at the park, so attendees should register for tickets online to guarantee availability.
Tickets are $9 for children aged 15 and younger and seniors and $10 for adults. Each entry includes both the festive themed experience and a goody bag for all ages. Face coverings are encouraged while playing.
In addition to Goblin Golf, there are other attractions to enjoy at Burke Lake Park while you are there. As long as the weather stays pleasant, guests may be interested in picnicking, trail hiking, and visiting the newly renovated Ice Cream Parlor. The marina is also open for rentals on weekends through Halloween — or reserve a campsite for some nature time through Nov. 30.
While the Burke Lake Park carousel remains closed for scheduled repairs, the park’s miniature train is always a favorite activity, especially for the young ones, and it pairs perfectly with a round of Goblin Golf with train’s first rides starting at 11:20 a.m. and the last just after golf closes at 5:40 p.m. Tickets for the miniature train should also be purchased in advance to guarantee availability. Everyone aged 2 and older must have a ticket to ride.
The last day for the train and Goblin Golf will be Oct. 31.
Attendees should Visit the Fairfax County Park Authority website for more information on Goblin Golf and other seasonal activities at our local gem, Burke Lake Park.
